ANNIE WADE
The death occurred on Wednesday in last week at Savernake Hospital of Mrs. Annie Wade, formerly of Gloucester-road. The deceased lady, who had attained the age of 86 years, was the widow of the late Mr. William Wade, who was agent for Pickford’s in Newbury and died some 40 years ago. Mrs Wade was being treatment in hospital following an accident in the house, when she fell and broke her leg. She was well-known in the Newbury, where she was much devoted to the Parish Church and attended the services regularly.

The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon, the service at St. Nicholas’ Church being conducted by the Rev. B.C. Robinson, curate. The interment was in the grave in which her husband was buried in the Old Cemetery, Newtown-road.

The mourners were: Mr. and Mrs. Wade (son and daughter-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. S.H. Benn, Mr. and Mrs. A.S. Bannell, and Mr. and Mrs. G. Allam (sons-in-law and daughters) Mr. J. H. Bath (nephew), and Mr. D. Benn (grandson).
