Wife of John Henry Williams THE LATE MRS. WILLIAMS
The death of Mrs. J. H. Williams occurred n Wednesday< November 24', at the residence of her youngest daughter, Mrs. Rolls, 21, Craven-street. Mrs Williams was an old inhabitant. Having resided in the borough between 50 and 60 years. She came from Vernham Dean, where her father was a leading Primitive Methodistand local preacher. The deceased was married to Mr. J.H. Williams, who was one of the last of the race of nail makers who worked for the manufacturing firm of Mr. J.P. Jackson in the Market Place. In his later days, her husband, whose health had failed him, delivered the "Newbury Weekly News" on Thursday mornings.
The funeral was on Monday afternoon. A portion of the service was held at the Bartholomew-street Primitive Methodist Church, and was conducted by the Rev. J. Neville. Etc.
The mourners were Mr. J. H. Williams (son) and Mrs. Williams (daughter-in-law), Mrs. C. Taylor, Mr. G. Williams (son), Mrs. T. Wiggins (daughter), Miss R. Williams (daughter), Mr. F. Williams (son), Mrs. R. Rolls (daughter), Mr. F. Williams (son).
Maria died 24 November 1915 aged 75 Also John Henry Williams died 22 February 1901 aged 60
