JOHN HENRY WILLIAMS
ODDFELLOW’S FUNERAL
The death occurred on Saturday last, at the Corn Wharf, of Mr. John Henry Williams, after a long and tedious illness. Deceased, who was sixty years of age, was well known in the town, having resided here for close upon half-a-century, and for over forty years had been a member of the Loyal Jack of Newbury Lodge of Oddfellows, of which lodge he had been twice N.G.
The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon at the Newbury Cemetery, the service being conducted by the Rev. J. 8. Stanwell, and the body was followed to its last restng place by several brethren of both of the Oddfellows' Lodges in the town.
The coffin bore the following inscription on the lid:

Died Feb. 22nd, (no year given)
Aged 60 years
