  South kerbstone: In Loving Memory of Georgina Wyllie who died Nov. 20th. 1900 aged 32 years./ Also her son Arthur George, killed in action June 23rd. 1917 aged 21, buried at Rouen./ North kerbstone: Also R. Gill Wyllie, M.B.C.M. Died May 12th. 1943 aged 78./ "Peace perfect peace."
    Includes memorial to Arthur George Wyllie, killed in action, who is buried in Rouen.

Very general and widespread has been the sympathy expressed with Dr. Wyllie in the bereavement which he and his young family have sustained by the death of Mrs. Wyllie. The funeral took place on Friday afternoon at the Cemetery. the officiating minister being the Rev. E H. Titchmarsh. A large number of townspeople were present, including the Mayor (Mr. Councillor Rankin), Dr. Jenner Clarke. Dr. Montagu Palmer, Mr. Catleugh (?), Mr. and Mrs. Kimber. and others.

The mourners were Dr. Wyllie (husband), Mr. C Maries, Aberdeen (brother), Mrs. Maries, Mr. and Mr. P. Wyllie (Hornsey), Mr Joseph Wyllie, Mr. W. Canter (?) (Winchester).

The coffin, which was of polished oak, with brass fittings, was conveyed to the Cemetery in a glass Washington car, and was inscribed:


Died November 20, 1900. Aged 33

There were a large number of beautiful floral offerings of affection and sympathy from Dr. Willie and the children, etc., etc.

The undertakers were Messrs. Penford and Son, Northbrook-street
