  Headstone: In Loving Memory of / Harriet Taylor / who departed this life Oct:23:1901 in her 72nd. Year. / "Thou Shepherds of Israel, and mine / the joy and desire of my heart. For closer communion I pine, / I long to reside where thou art." / Also of Jesse / husband of the above, / who entered into Rest May:22:1891 in his 66th. year / "It's hard to part with those we love / but we shall meet again." / Interred at (No Suggestions) Churchyard. / Also of Eliza, the beloved wife of / James E. Landcastle / who died Dec. 27th. 1913 aged 61 years. / "With Christ which is far better." // South Kerbstone: Outer slope: In Loving Memory of James Landcastle who passed away Feb. 3rd. 1924 / aged 75 years. // East Slope: Outer slope: At Rest. //
  Excellent. Uncommon coral fungus grows on grave every year
    Harriet was born in Wilton to Ag Labourer John & Charity Crosby & Baptised in Great Bedwyn. She met Jesse Taylor whilst both were working, as a carter & a house servant for Farmer Edward Withers of Hill Green, Leckhampstead. They married in 1852& a year later their daughter Eliza was born. Jesse was a labourer and Head carter & they lived at Hill Green, Leckhampstead until Jesse's death. He was buried in Leckhampstead Churchyard. Harriet then moved to Newbury where she was a Servant to a widow at 1, Denbigh Villas, Greenham. She died at her daughter's home, 8 Ham Terrace, King's Rd (now Kings Rd West), Newbury.
