  "On slab at E end: In/ever loving memory of / my dearest husband/ Herbert Benjamin (Ben) Stagg,/ called away 23rd July 1940/ aged 39 years./ You always said we'd miss you/ and now it's proved too true./ We lost the best friend we ever had/ dear Dad when we lost you/ God's keeping.// Also of Daisy, his wife, called away 29th April 1953 aged 51 years.// "
   
  Kerbstones with headstone now lying flat. As of March 2014 no evidence of Daisy's inscription. May be on underside of headstone. Part of broken cross in middle of grave

    Daisy's inscription taken from Mrs Pattison's records in library. Was not found on grave in 2014. She noted that Daisy's surname in burial records was Manser, not Stagg.
