"On slab at E end: In/ever loving memory of / my dearest husband/ Herbert Benjamin (Ben) Stagg,/ called away 23rd July 1940/ aged 39 years./ You always said we'd miss you/ and now it's proved too true./ We lost the best friend we ever had/ dear Dad when we lost you/ God's keeping.//
Also of Daisy, his wife, called away 29th April 1953 aged 51 years.//

Daisy's inscription taken from Mrs Pattison's records in library. Was not found on grave in 2014. She noted that Daisy's surname in burial records was Manser, not Stagg.
