Much sympathy is felt for Mr. and Mrs. J. Adby of 25 York Road, Newbury on the death of their son, Ronald John Adby, which occurred on Saturday after a short illness in Newbury District Hospital at the age of 20. Mr. Adby had been employed at Newbury Corporation Gas Works for six years and at the funeral at the Newtown-road Cemetery, the coffin was carried by four of his workmates and other employees formed a guard of honour. The bearers were Messrs H. Martin, B. Copas, F. Hill and D. Cuthbert. The service was conducted by the adjutant and Mrs. G. Groves, Newbury Salvation Army officers.
