SUDDEN DEATH OF MISS ADA BOYER

The death occurred with tragic suddenness on Tuesday of Miss Ada Boyer, daughter of the late Mr. George Boyer. Miss Boyer had lived by herself since the death of her sister more than a year ago. Early in the year she had an attack of influenza and had not been able to throw off its ill effects.

On Tuesday she was out in the town. About four o’clock in the afternoon her neighbour heard what she thought was a tap on the wall, but as it was not repeated took no notice of it. About nine o’clock in the evening, as she had no heard Miss Boyer moving about, she went into the house to see if she was all right. She was shocked upon opening the door to find her lying dead in the hall.

Miss Boyer had been writing a letter to her niece in the sitting room when she was taken ill. She apparently was leaving the house for assistance when she fell down.

The Coroner was informed, but an inquest was not deemed necessary. Her married sister, Mrs. Brydone, who lives in London, was sent for and arrived yesterday (Wednesday).

The funeral service will take place in the Newbury Parish Church at three o’clock on Saturday afternoon, the interment being in the Old Cemetery in Newtown-road.
