1 William North 1824-1891
William was born in 1824 and lived all his life in Newbury. He was a plasterer by trade as his father had been, although on the 1861 census he was described as a brewer and labourer. On the 1851-1891 censuses he was living in 3 North Cottage. There were three North Cottages presumably owned by the North family as they were left to family members and a brother Thomas, also a plasterer, lived next door to William on the 1881 and 1891 censuses.
William married Sarah Ruth Justice in 1852and they had three children. Margaret who married William Bannister, Sarah Rebecca who married John Henry Stott and William.
William senior died in 1891, 10 days before his wife.
