Rhoda was born in Newbury, she was baptised on the 19th May 1885 at St Nicolas Church Newbury the daughter of Paul and Rosina Eliza Shave (nee Parker) who were married on the 12th November 1882 at St Nicolas Church Newbury.

 

Paul and Rosina also had the following children:

Arthur Edward 1886

Albert William 1888

Brice 1889

Morris/Maurice Francis 1891

Alice Ellen 1893

Minnie Rosina 1895

 Her father Paul worked as a House Painter/Decorator.

 Rhoda died aged 21 on the 10th January 1907, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 14th January.

 The 1891, 1901 and 1911 census records record the family living in Northcroft Lane, Newbury.

 

Her father Paul died on the 25th November 1920 in Newbury District Hospital, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 30th November. (With Rhoda).

 

Her mother Rosina died aged 74 on the 21st August 1935, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 24th August.  (With Rhoda and her husband Paul).
