Mary, her parents, siblings and early life:
Mary was baptised on the 17th April 1825, at St Nicolas Church, Newbury, Berkshire, the daughter of William and Mary Morris (nee Matthews) who were married on the 1st August 1814, at St Nicolas.
Her mother Mary was baptised on the 5th October 1794, in Newtown Hampshire, the daughter of George and Edyth/Edith Matthews (nee Keens) who were married on the 19th April 1791, at St Nicolas Church, Newbury.
Her father William was a Blacksmith. He was baptised on the 29th August 1790, at St Nicolas Church, Newbury, the son of Benjamin and Elizabeth Morris (nee Eells) who were married on the 17th May 1774 at St Nicolas.
William and Mary also had the following children baptised at St Nicolas Church:

In 1815 Mary’s father William (23), a Founder, her mother Mary (22) and her brother William (an infant) were recorded living in Moss’s Yard, in the City, Newbury, Berkshire.
In 1841 William (50), Mary (45), Charles (20), a Gardener’s Apprentice, Mary (15), Elizabeth (12), Michael (8), Thomas (5) and Cornelius James (2), were recorded living in Newtown Road, Newbury.
Mary in later life:
In 1851 Mary (26) was working as a House Servant, living at 28 Portman Mews, Marylebone, London.
Mary’s father William died aged 64 on the 4th February, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 9th February.
The 1861 census records Mary (38) working as a Cook at Donnington Lodge, Shaw cum Donnington, Berkshire, for a Charles Silcock (73), a Banker and his family.
In 1871 Mary (45) was working as a Housekeeper at The Rectory, Ham, Wiltshire, for the Temporary Curate of Ham.
Mary’s mother Mary died aged 80 on the 22nd April 1874, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery, with her husband William, on the 27th April.

(Benjamin was baptised in 1822 in Reading, Berkshire, the son of Joseph and Sophia Weller (nee Hibbard) who were married in 1818 in Reading. He married Rachel Robbins in 1848, they had five children. Benjamin was widowed in 1876)
Mary Weller died aged 55 on the 8th February 1880, she was laid to rest with her parents in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 13th February.
Benjamin remarried on the 23rd October 1882, at St Leonard’s Church Wallingford. His 3rd wife was Eliza Parker.
The 1891 census records Benjamin (70) as being blind, he was recorded as a General Labourer, living at 10 Church Almshouses, Newtown Road, Newbury with Eliza (66)
Benjamin died aged 75 on the 8th January 1898. He was laid to rest in a private grave in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 11th January
