Tomb north side : In affectionate rememberance of/ Thomas Ward/ who died Nov.29th 1882 in the 64th year of his age/ "The spirit shall return to God who gave it"/ "A light is from out household gone a voice we love is stilled/ a place is vacant in our home which never can be filled"/ Also of Mary Ann his widow who died Easter Morn. 4th April 1920 aged 83 years.
