The articles below contain information about Dorothy Fanny Ford.
Dorothy Fanny Ford. She was born in Salcombe road, Newbury to Tom and Fanny Eliza Ford (nee Langton) therefore granddaughter of Thomas and Eliza Jane Langton. She had 1 brother Tom (my Father) and a sister Evelyn (who died last year aged 100). They moved to Stanley Road in 1939.
Sadly Dorothy was killed in 1944 when she was knocked off her bike aged 30.
I did not get to know her but understand from my parents how kind, caring and thoughtful she was. She was a talented shorthand typist and worked for the Newbury Mineral Company.
