DEATH OF MR. ALFRED JUDD
The death of Mr. Alfred Judd, which occurred last week in London, will scarcely come as a surprise, at any rate not to any who saw him on his last visit to Newbury. It was only too apparent that the worries entailed by his financial embarrassments had entirely broken down his constitution, and that he was dying man. The business to which Mr. Judd succeeded was one of the oldest in the town. Though invited to become a candidate for civic honours, Mr. Judd invariably declined. He however, was for for number of years a member of the Horticultural Committee.

He leaves a widow (daughter of the late Mr. Randall formerly a Mayor of the borough) and several children, one of whom was recently elected to Christ's Hospital

The funeral took place on Tuesday, the body being brought to Newbury, and interred in the Randall family vault at the Cemetery.

In addition to members of the family, Messrs. G. Withers, C. Adey, W. Edmonds and J. Kemp attended as representing the Horticultural Society, who sent a beautiful wreath.

Funeral arrangements Hannington, Northbrook street
