Transciption:	Edward Wilson JP (1807-91). Born in Watchfield, Berkshire. Came to Newbury in 1823. Butcher at 85 Northbrook Street.1 Farmer at Speenhamland, Shaw Hill, and Cold Ash. Alderman 1867. Opposed a new drainage system for Newbury. Borough Magistrate 1879.2 At the Borough elections of November 1856, the electoral roll was 337, of whom 289 electors voted.
	This obituary entry is awaiting verification.
