Edward Wilson JP (1807-91).

Born in Watchfield, Berkshire. Came to Newbury in 1823. Butcher at 85 Northbrook Street.1 Farmer at Speenhamland, Shaw Hill, and Cold Ash. Alderman 1867. Opposed a new drainage system for Newbury. Borough Magistrate 1879.2 At the Borough elections of November 1856, the electoral roll was 337, of whom 289 electors voted.
