March 1882 aged 93 years/ "For who knoweth what a day may bring forth."/ Also of Charles Matthews/ who died the 11th. day of June, 1884/ in the 85th. year of his age./ Also Sarah Ann, eldest daughter of the above Charles & Sarah/ wife of Henry Peter Matthews of London, died 8 July/ 1898 aged 62 years./ Also Henry Peter Matthews, husband of the above died March 26th. 1897 aged 77 years.// South side of copestone:/ In Memory of / Naomi, second daughter of Charles & Hannah Matthews of Boxford in this county/ who departed this life the 23rd. day of Nov. 1854/ aged 20 years/ Also John Beach, second son of the above/ who departed this life the 12th. day of April 1856 aged 29 years./ West side of copestone:/ Also Thomas, eldest son of the above Charles & Hannah Matthews, born Oct. 20th. 1823, died Oct 12th 1899. Also Eliza Jane, widow of the above Thomas Matthews/ born April 26th. 1823, died Oct.22nd. 1903./ East facing copestone: Also Charles Henry, eldest son of Henry Peter & Sarah Matthews, born 22nd. April 1852, died 5th. March 1855. Also Thomas Beach/ son of Thomas & Eliza Jane Matthews/ buried at sea Oct.26th. 1900 aged 42.
