FUNERAL OF MR. C. L. NICHOLSON The funeral of Mr. Charles Lyne Nicholson, of Porchester-road, Newbury, whose death, at the age of 65, was recorded in our last issue, took place on Saturday afternoon at the Newtown-road Cemetery. The service was conducted by the Rev. J. N. Blagden, of Greenham. The mourners were: Mrs. Nicholson (widow), Mrs. King (sister), Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fabry (brother-in-law and sister-in-law), Messrs. Harry and William Fabry (brothers-in-law). "There then follows a list of the many people who were present." Wreaths were sent from: His wife; Sisters Lizzie and Kate; Fred, Kate and Dorothy, Dovercourt; Charlie and family, Middlewich; Wallie and Florrie, "The Bear"; Mick, Annie and family; Harry and Linda; Wallie, Kathleen and boys, Portsmouth; "there then follows a list of the many people who sent flowers".

The gravestone inscription includes his wife Florence Maud Nicholson who died on 1 March 1963 aged 80 years. |
