SUDDEN DEATH: On Thursday evening last, an inquest was held before Joseph Bunny Esq., the borough coroner, at the Magistrates Room, on view of the body of Thomas Richmond, aged 67, who died suddenly the day before.
It appeared from the evidence of Eliza Taylor, who washed for the deceased and Charles Wivell, in whose employ Richmond had been for the last 10 years, that deceased’s health had been declining for some time, and while he was sitting in a chair at Taylor’s house, between five and six o’clock, on Wednesday afternoon, he was seized with illness and died quite suddenly.
Verdict: “Died by natural causes by the visitation of God.” |
