  From top of headstone: Sacred to the memory of/ Carolina Maria/ the beloved child of/ Thomas & Caroline Gutch/ who departed this life/ Sept. 5th. 1854/ aged 3 years & 11 months./ "Ere sin could blight or sorrow fade, Death came with friendly care/ The opening bud to heaven conveyed/ and bade it blossom there."/ Also of Emma Jane/ Daughter of the above/ who departed this life/ on 11th of Jan. 1856/ aged 6 months. " Thou destroyed the hope of man" Footstone: CMG/ 1854/EJG/ 1856
   
  Lettering good but gravestone has sunk into the ground, obscuring the inscription for Emma May. These have been uncovered and are shown here.
