EDWARD JAMES
DEATH OF MR. EDWARD JAMES
The announcement is made in the obituary column of the death of Mr. Edward James, which took place at Nottingham, at the age of 78.
Mr. James was formerly a builder in Pound-street, and was one of those enterprising townsmen to whom the borough owed a great deal of its former development. The long row of houses on the north side of Craven-street, also villas in Enbourn-road and Pound-street, were erected by him. He was for a time a member of the Town Council, and his practical experience proved of good service. An accident, whilst superintending building operations, limited his business activities, and he has latterly been living in retirement.
