EDWARD CHARLES MACCABEE

 

FUNERAL

 

          The funeral took place on Tuesday of Edward (Ted) third son of Mr. and Mrs. Maccabee, of Roseleigh, Wash Common.

         

The deceased had been a suffered for many years, but his winsome and ever-willing ways had made him a general favourite in the neighbourhood.

         

The burial took place at the Newbury Cemetery, the first part of the service being held at the deceased's home. The mourners were mother and father, brothers and sisters and other relatives, and the service was conducted by the Rev. C.V. Pike. The coffin was covered with lovely flowers. Those sending wreaths etc., besides the above were the Primitive Methodist Sunday School, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Chalk, Mrs. Orchid and Nelly, Mr. and Mrs. Willis and family, Mr. and Mrs. T. Chivers and family, Mrs. F. Collins, Mrs. Boshier, Mrs Maylen, Mrs. Purton, Mr. and Mrs. G. Mason, Mrs Quinn, relatives at Surbiton etc.
