SARAH ANN VICKERS

(MRS. J. VICKERS)

The funeral of the late Mrs. J. Vickers, of 57, York Road, Newbury, took place on Saturday last at the Newtown-road cemetery.

The first part of the service was held in the Stroud Green Primitive Methodist Chapel, the Rev. E. G. French officiating. The hymns sung were “Now the day of toil is done” and “Lead kindly light”.

The mourners were Mr. J. Vickers (husband), Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Mr. and Mrs A.J. Giles (daughters and son-in-laws) , Mr. and Mrs. G. Owen (brother and sister-in-law), Miss Vera Smith (niece), and Miss J. Marriott.

Floral tributes were sent by; Dad; Min. and Bert; Doll and Bert; Guy and Mickey; George and family; Polly and family; Jean and Alan; Vera and Rod; Mrs. Flint; Mr. H. Flint and Miss Flint; Mrs. T. Smith and family; Mr. G. White and family.

The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. T. Plumb.
