Moved to Newbury by 1881. Lived in Lypiatt, 29 Berkeley Rd. Wilfred Edward Baker was a grocer's asst all his life & left £1200. HARRY TWISSELL

 

 

The death occurred on Wednesday in last week in Dunedin Nursing Home, Reading, following an operation, of Mr. Harry Twissell, of “Lypiatt,” Berkeley-road.

 

Mr. Twissell, who was a butcher, was 62 years of age and spent over 45 years in one place of employment. On leaving school, he entered the late Mr. F. J. Coldicott's business, which was afterwards carried on by Mr. Liddiard.

 

He was for many years a special constable, and when he retired last autumn had attained the rank of sergeant.

 

The funeral took place on Saturday, the service at the|Parish Church being conducted by the Rector, the Rev. L.R. Majendie. The interment was at the Newtown-road Cemetery.

 

The mourners were Mr. C. Twissell, Mr. F.B. Twissell (brothers). Mr. Norman Bland (nephew).

Liddiard and the Rev. T. Liddiard; Mrs. Kimber; E.C. Wren and C.H. Biddle; Officers and Sergeants. Sergeants, Special Constabulary; Mr. J. Tufnall and staff; J. Pemberton (Goring|); Miss Cox; Mr. and Mrs. Flack and Peggy; Mr. and Mrs. Blackwell and Betty; Conservative Club.

Several of the Special Constables were also present at the church.
