THE LATE MISS STAPLES
The death occurred on Friday at her residence in Andover-road of Miss Anne Maria, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Staples, of Northbrook-street. She had lived in Newbury all her life. While her health lasted she was a devoted Church worker in connection with the Parish Church. She took great interest in her work as teacher of music, and was for many years local secretary for Trinity College of Music. Of late years failing health compelled her to give up most of her activities. She was laid to rest in the Newtown-road Cemetery yesterday (Wednesday), following a service in the Parish Church. Many beautiful flowers were sent from the following relatives and friends:

Rogers. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Messrs. A. J. Chivers.
