Albert Stanfield Parsons
ODDFELLOW'S AND SLATE CLUB FUNERAL.—
The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon, at the Cemetery, of the late Mr. Albert Parsons, who was popular amongst the various benefit clubs in the town and district being one of the originators of numerous slate clubs in the town, in four of which he took a prominent part.
The deceased suffered from cancer, and although very ill for a year past, it was only during the past six weeks that he declared on the sick fund.
The coffin was covered with lovely wreaths, a last tribute from his fellow members and sorrowing friends. The Rector, the Rev. Lionel Majendie, conducted the service and at its conclusion, Bro. I. Cleeves, P.G., of the "Britons Pride" Lodge of Oddfellows delivered in impressive meaner the funeral oration of the order.
Mr. E. James was the undertaker.
