THE LATE MRS. JOSEPH TARRANT
Death has removed from our midst another old inhabitant in the person of Mrs. Joseph Tarrant who passed away on the ...... inst. She had been in declining health since the death, some nine months ago, of her husband, who was a timber merchant, and also landlord of the "Borough" Arms, having been in business in Newbury nearly half a century.
The funeral took place on Tuesday at the Cememtery, the officiating clergyman being the Rev. E. Ide Mack The mourners were Mrs. Buck, Mrs. Duckett, Miss Tarrant (daughters), Mr. William Tarrant, Mr. Walter Tarrant, Mr. Arthur Tarrant (sons), Mrs. William Tarrant (daughter-in-law), and Mr. Newman.
The coffin was of polished oak, and wreaths and crosses were sent by relatives and friends. Mr. Windsor was the undertaker.
