DEATH OF MR. JAMES EDMONDS

Newbury has this week lost another old and respected townsman by the death of Mr. James Edmonds, who for a lengthened period successfully carried on the business as cabinet maker and upholsterer In Northbrook Street. The deceased was the father of the ex-Mayor, Mr. William Edmonds, who succeeded to the business some years ago. The funeral is appointed to take place to-day (Saturday), and the first portion of the Burial Service will be conducted at the Parish Church, where the deceased served as a sidesman for a long time.  Mr. Edmonds was one of the comparatively few of those who remembered the old coaching days.
