"CANNING June 28th at Whitefield Villa, Greenham, Richard Canning, youngest son of Robert Canning of Whitefield, Marlborough in his 68th year.”

Most likely the Master Draper of Market St. listed in 1861 census, age 43, along with wife Elizabeth. Father of another Richard who himself became a draper.
 
Census shows born in Ogbourne which is a couple of miles from Marlboro' with Whitefield on other side of town.
