CLARA LOUISE PATEY

The Late Mrs Patey

The funeral of the late Mrs Clara Louise Patey, wife of Mr Isaac Patey, of Gloucester road, took place on Thursday afternoon in the Newtown road Cemetery, the service being conducted by Rev. A H Fowler.  The mourners were Mr Isaac Patey (husband), Mrs Kent (sister), Mrs Innes-Duff (sister), Mr Patey,  Mr and Mrs G E  Stillman, Mr and Mrs F H Stillman, Miss E Stillman, Miss E Patey, Mrs J Patey, Mrs H Wells, Mr A Patey, Mr G Weeks.  A number of neighbours and friends attended as a mark of respect, including Mrs G Griffin, Misses Mortimer, Mr and Mrs C T Paine, Mrs Parker, Mrs Hicks, Mrs Whitington, Miss Franklin, Mr and Mrs B Freeman, Mrs Orchard, etc. Deceased was a niece of the late Miss Mary Stillman, to whom she acted as companion for many years. 

Many beautiful offerings were contributed, including Her loving Husband; Lizzie and Katie; Gertie and Steve; Maude, Douglas and Kathleen; Ernest and all at Harrowgate; Aunt and Lily; Lizzie; Lucy, Milly and Harry;  Emmeline; Dorothy and David; Bert, Charlie and Gladys; Ted, Clara, Annie and George; Mr and Mrs F H Stillman; Kate, Lizzie and Rosa; Miss Kate Mortimer, Mrs Piper; Mr and Mrs Walker; Mr and Mrs C T Paine; Mr and Mrs Leamon, Mr and Miss Morgan; Mr and Mrs Leader; Lottie and Joan; Mr and Mrs Poole; Mr and Mrs Purdue; Mr and Mrs Trask; Mrs Cottrell and Mrs McMurdo; Miss Harrison; Mrs Butler.  The funeral arrangements were conducted by Mr Arthur J Chivers.
