THE LATE Mr EDWARD KNIGHT.— The remains of Mr. Edward Knight were interred on Saturday, in the Cemetery, the Rev. H. O. Mears officiating, and being followed by the ringers of the Parish Church, who on their return rang a muffled peal in memory of their late leader, this being followed on Sunday by muffled chimes. Mr. Knight was also formerly guardian of the poor and overseer, but failed in obtaining a seat at the Town Council. The deceased for several years past had conducted the business of the Town Mill, which he purchased on the death of his brother, Mr. George Knight. |
