Thomas was son of a Cutler & Bellhanger of Basingstoke. He was a Master Ironmonger & cutler of 138 Bartholomew St. He married Sarah Franklin of Greenham. Sarah was a housekeeper to a relative before her marriage. When Sarah was widowed she loved in Madeira Place, describing herself as a Retired Ironmonger. Her grandson, Thomas Charles, lived with her there for a time when he was at school.
