WILLIAM WHEATON
A TOMB STONE erected in the Newbury Cemetery to the late Mr. Wheaton, evinces a kindly feeling to a departed fellow workman, and bears a pleasing testimony to the cordial relations subsisting between the several employs engaged on the same firm. The inscription reads:-
In Memory of WILLIAM WHEATON,
For 30 years Foreman to Messrs. Adey, Builders,
Died February 2nd, 1872, Aged 61 years.
Erected by his fellow workmen as a mark of respect and esteem.
It is a handsome stone, and creditable to the workmanship of Mr. Pounds, of Westfield, to whom the same was entrusted. |
