Maria Wells Jackson She was the daughter of Philip Wells Jackson and Clara (née Cox) and the grand-daughter of James Porteus Jackson, iromonger of Market Place and Mayor of Newbury 1857, and Maria Elizabeth (née Wells). Her parents married on 29 October 1867 at St. John the Evangelist, Brixton, Lambeth. Her father was a malster and farmer at Wash Common and her mother was the daughter of Joseph Abraham Cox, woollen draper and gentleman, and Ann Margaret Cox. No Mrs. P. Code
