JOHN CROCKER
THE LATE MR. JOHN CROCKER
An old townsman has passed away at the age of 77, in the person of John Crocker, of Jubilee-road.
Deceased was born at Newbury, and had lived there throughout his lengthened career, having been employed for some 25 years at Messrs. Skinner’s Malthouses, and subsequently for over 20 years at Messrs Midwinter’s Corn Store.
The death took place on the 28th May, and the interment follows on Friday, June 1, at Newbury Cemetery, his grave being by the side of his wife, who had died some 13 years previously.
The mourners were James and Edward Crocker (sons), Mrs. Munson, Mrs Dingle, Misses L., A., R. and F. Crocker (daughters), Mrs. J. and Mrs E. Crocker (daughters-in-law) Mr. W. Crocker (grandson);Mr. A. Gibbs and Mr. and Mrs. Midwinter were also in attendance.
Numerous wreaths were sent by the foregoing also by Miss Chandler Reading. The youngest son of Mr A Crocker was enabled to be present owing to illness in a military hospital
