Louisa nee Porter was born to a farmer employing labour who farmed at Hoe Benham & Greenham. She married Thomas Edward Gunter, a relation of her mother, in 1906. They lived in St Mary's Villas, Newbury in 1911 when Thomas was working as an Inspector of Agents of the Fire and Accident Insurance Co. By 1939 he had retired and they were living with their 3 children, the girl a shorthand typist & a boy in the motor trade at 18, Buckingham Rd, Newbury, where Louisa was living when she died.
