However a war memorial was erected by family members so that they could honour the memory of their loved one who was killed overseas in the service of their country.

  Top tier east facing: In Loving Memory of/ John Salway Middle tier east facing: died March 17 1920 aged 69./ Also of William John/ born Nov. 6 1889/ died Nov. 30 1889. 3rd tier east facing: Also of Douglas John/ Killed on Active Service Aug. 9 1916/ aged 20 years./ Sons of the above. 1st tier north facing: Also of Lucy Middle tier north facing: wife of John Salway 3rd tier north facing: who died March 27th. 1939.
