THE LATE MRS. HARDING

On Sunday evening, there passed away in Berkeley-road the wife of the Rev. Daniel Harding in the sixty-seventh year of her age. Mrs. Harding was stricken with paralysis on Christmas Eve and since then had been lying in a weak and helpless condition.

The information reached the Primitive Methodist Church before the evening service was concluded and a sympathetic announcement was made from the pulpit by the Rev. John Neville, who also prayed that sustaining grace might be given to the husband and family in their bereavement. At the close The Dead March in Saul was also played, the congregation standing.

Mrs. Harding bad been married 44 years and in his ministerial duties had rendered her husband service in her own quiet way.

From 1870 to 1873 and again from 1880 to 1884 they were settled in Newbury where also they came permanently to reside in 1891 on the superannuation of Mr Harding. Since then she had taken an interest in the Mothers' Meeting and was most constant in attendance at God's House whenever health permitted.

The funeral is this afternoon (Thursday), a preliminary service taking place at the Primitive Methodist Church at 2 15.
