    NB 1: Thomas Farr & other members of the family are "Westies" related to John & Frances West & Gabriel Cox, Mayor of Newbury who entertained Chas I during the Civil War. NB 2: Mary T is registered mistakenly as Mary A Higgs in the NCR Burial Records Mary was the daughter of an agricultural labourer who moved from Lambourn to 6, Trafalgar Place, off Bartholomew St, Newbury to work as an Iron Founder. Thomas was the son of Stationer Thomas and wife Mary at 65 Northbrook St before moving to Cheap St. Thomas Jnr & Mary T married in 1877 in Southampton. They lived at 30, Westfields in 1881, Thomas being recorded as an assistant confectioner. In1891 he was a general storekeeper living in Bartholomew St, moving by1891 to 24, Craven St (later Road). working as a Warehouseman. They had 5 children, several of whom emigrated to USA. Shortly after Mary's death, Thomas married her younger sister, dressmaker Sarah Pullen .They continued living in Craven St until by 1911 they lived in Bridge St, Hungerford where Thomas, an assistant grocer, died. Sarah also died at Church St, & is buried in plot P(A)13 with her brother Rev William Titcombe Pullen, Wesleyan Minister. Mary, William & Sarah's parents, John & Caroline Pullen are buried near Mary & Thomas in P(C)2. Thomas's parents and family members are buried in P(A)12 while his brother, Walter is buried with his two wives and children in plot P(A)9. Sources: NRC Bur Rcds; Ancestry records.
