    John Parker & wife Martha (nee Warr) : Both born Sherborne, Dorset. Coach wheel maker & wheelwright. Married in Sherborne, came to Newbury by 1871 census & lived in Speen then 22, West St. Their niece Mary Blagden lodged with them while at school & after as a dressmaker. After John's death, Martha took in boarders. Maria Tuck: nee Warr, born in Sherborne, older sister to Martha, married local Labourer John Tuck in 1854 in Sherborne. John & Martha Parker were witnesses who signed their marriage certificate. Occupation on marriage cert is Silk Winder. Her husband, John Tuck died in Sherborne in 1875. She may have boarded with Martha after then. Source: Ancestry records.
