    Frederick was born to Frederick Baron Twitchin & Charlotte Griffin. His father was a blacksmith who grew up in Shaw Lane and West Mills. He married in Plumstead where he continued working as a blacksmith. He died 2 years after his son's death & is buried in Greenwich. Frederick George's mother is from the Welford, Berks. .
