Maria was born in Cromford, Derbys & married Joseph who always worked wih horses. At her death he was a coachman in The Wash, Newbury. They had children. Their daughter, Sarah Esther, was born in Sheffield & worked as a boot machinist & mantle maker. She married George Clark Eaton from Westbury, Wilts., a printer, in 1882. They had 2 children Winifred & George who were orphaned when their parents died in 1894, George two months after Sarah. The chiodren were taken in by their maternal grandmother, Ann Eaton of 1 Southampton Tce, Newbury. In the 1891 census Sarah & children lived in Roseberry Place, Greenham, Berks while George was a patient in Newbury Hospital. Source: ancestry.co.uk
