ODDFELLOWS' FUNERAL The funeral of Mr. John Allen Payne, of the Bridge Brewery, took place on Monday afternoon at Newbury Cemetery and was attended by a large number of the “Jack of Newbury” Oddfellows, of which society the deceased had been a member for some years, The service was read by the Rev. W. Pheasant, curate of St Nicolas Church. Among those attending the funeral besides the deceased's relatives, were Grand Masters Walters and Burton and Noble Grand Mayo. |
