A painful case of sudden death occurred on Tuesday evening last to a pensioner named Isaac Buckeridge, living at West-fields. He was engaged between five and six in putting up some railings, and feeling unwell went in doors, but died immediately before assistance could be rendered. The cause of death was heart disease from which he had suffered for some time. 
Deceased, who was son of the Town Crier, was formerly in the 66th. (Berkshire) Regiment, and served in the Afghan campaign. On leaving the Army be received a pension, though not large.
