In the 1841 census George and Mary were living with daughter Eliza in Northbrook Street in Newbury and George was recorded as a cabinet maker.

Eliza married Francis Henry Adler in 1842 in Newbury. Francis was born circa 1815 in Newbury.

George and Mary were still living in Northcroft Street in the 1851 census along with a house servant Sarah Target aged 18. George was recorded as master cabinet maker and Mary as a straw bonnet maker.
