There is no burial register information available for Gilbert Jones.

Stillborn children were not recorded in the burial register, only in the cemetery accounts.

Gilbert Jones
c1856-1865
Gilbert was recorded in the Newtown Road Cemetery burial records as Albert Jones by mistake. His death was recorded as Gilbert Jones on both Freebmd and GRO.
Gilbert was born in Newbury he was the son of Gilbert & Jane Jones (nee Windebank) who were married on the 5th November 1854 at St Mary’s Guilford Surrey. His father Gilbert was born c1823 in Basingstoke and was a Publican (when he married) and his mother was born c1830 in Basingstoke Hampshire.
By 1861 Jane & Gilbert had three children, Gilbert, Emma Jane born 1858 and Rosa born 1861, the family were living in Newbury (22 West Street) and Gilbert was working as a Corn Dealer’s Clerk.
Gilbert’s sister Rosa died aged 1 in 1862 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 4th June. The following year his mother gave birth to another daughter, Helen Biggs.
Gilbert’s father died aged 39 in 1865 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 24th January. Gilbert died aged 9 the same year he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 4th July.
In 1871 his mother and two sisters were living in Union Chapel Yard Newbury and his mother was working as a Laundress, she died aged 44 in 1872 and was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 15th March.
