The articles below contain information about John James Stoodley.
John James Stoodley was the Sexton of the cemetery from 1892.
He lived at 65 London Road with his wife Elizabeth (Bessie).
In 1881 and 1871 he is living with his uncle, John Pounds, in westfield's, a master stonemason .
In 1899 he is Sexton too Newbury cemetery company Oxford St .
in 1930 his children are still living with him
In 1933 he attended Jimmy wigmore's funeral
he died aged 79 in 1933
he was also a Mason and initiated in the loyal Berkshire lodge on the 5th of April 1895 he went through the three degrees but never progressed to become master and left in 1906
