Recorder's Notes T. B. died Dec.13 1878 T. B. looks to be Thomas Bennett died aged 84 buried 16th December 1878 H. B. died April 25 1861 It appears that he is buried with his wife Harriet Bennett who was buried on the 27th April 1864. When transcribed Mrs Patterson has mistakenly recorded the year as 1861 and it should be 1864

Harriet Bennett    and   Thomas Bennett

Harriet was baptised in 1793 Thatcham, Berkshire, the daughter of William and Sarah Pain. She married Thomas Bennett in 1821 in Chieveley, Berkshire.

Thomas was a Carpenter Journeyman. He was born c1797 in Chieveley, Berkshire.

The 1841 and 1851 census records both record Harriet and Thomas living in Northbrook Street, Newbury

The 1861 census records Harriet (69), Thomas (64) and their niece Susan Bennett (16) living in the Rose and Thistle Yard, Newbury.

Harriet died aged 73 on the 25th April 1864, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 27th April.

In 1871 Thomas (74) was lodging with a Maria Pope (47), a Beer House Keeper and her nephew John Pope (30) in the Rose and Thistle Yard, Newbury.

Thomas died on the 13th December 1878 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 16th December (age at death recorded as 84).
