Transciption: | ELIZABETH STOODLEY FUNERAL OF MRS. JOHN STOODLEY The funeral of the late Mrs. John Stoodley, The Limes, 65 London-road, took place at the Newbury Cemetery on Wednesday afternoon last week. Owing to illness several mourners were absent. Those attending were Mr. C. Stoodley (son), Mr. Fred and Mr. George Pullen (Brothers), the Rev. Charles Davis, B.A. (brother-in-law). The remains were enclosed in a polished elm coffin, with brass furniture and plate inscribed "Bessie, wife of John Stoodley, January 21st 1933". On the coffin was a large wreath of daffodils from the husband and family, with a number of other tributes from relatives and friends. The service was conducted by the Rev. G. Glandfield, Wesleyan monister.
