Mary Ann Hall

1862-1862

 

Mary Ann was born in Newbury, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary Jane Hall (nee Wilkins) who were married on the 9th April 1850 in Baydon Wiltshire. Her father was born c1823 in Newbury and was a Builder/Bricklayer and her mother was born c1825 in Baydon Wiltshire.

Charles and Mary Jane also had the following children:

(Mary Jane also gave birth to a stillborn child in 1859 this child was buried in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 9th April)

Mary Ann died aged 0 and was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 14th November.

Her brother James died aged 1 in 1869 he was buried in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 17th December

The family lived in Newbury, Harding’s Yard Newbury (1851), Staples Yard (1861) and Northcroft Lane (1871).

 Her father died aged 51 on the 4th April 1874 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 10th April.

Her mother continued living in Northcroft Lane until at least 1881 but by 1891 she was living in Prospect Villa Gloucester Road Newbury. She died in the Royal Berkshire Hospital Reading in 1905 and was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 24th June.
